VSI-thinking is proud to announce the launch of the new Neilson Active Holidays web site, one of the most feature rich solutions produced by VSI-thinking. The site includes some new technologies for ski resorts customer reviews, together with a Google Maps function to allow customers to view their accommodation in the resort. Existing web services such as the Forums and Photo Albums have been enhanced with the introduction of customer accounts. Once registered for the site the customer can define their own profile which is displayed wherever they contribute. A new Content Management Solution provides further flexibility to the control of copy and management of resort and accommodation data, allowing these products to be compared and easily searched.
Perhaps one of the most impressive new aspects of the web site is the offers section, which derives product information directly from the reservation system on a daily basis. The system links to a comprehensive database of brochure prices to automatically calculate savings, for groups of offers setup as definitions by Neilson. Offers are linked to product pages for further information and can be directly linked to the online reservation system.
