VSI-thinking has just released a new discussion board for members of the Pharmaceutical Software Exchange society (PhUSE).  PhUSE, an independent non-profit organisation, aims to help programmers within the pharmaceutical industry.

The new forum allows members to discuss issues and share knowledge and advice with other experts within the industry.  The addition of this new system adds another means for the organisation to assist programmers in addition to the yearly conferences, one-day events, regular journals and online resources.

The forum module from VSI-thinking has been built to handle multiple rooms and discussions.  It also allows members to receive email notifications whenever a reply is made to a topic they are interested in.  The forum makes use of features such as BBCode for comment formatting – giving it a familiar feel for the members of the society.

The discussion board is fully integrated into the existing society membership system (also provided by VSI-thinking), which allows it to use existing user details and permission settings.
