SPC International is a world wide company specialising in the repair, refurbishment and remarketing of electronic equipment for the I.T., banking and retail sectors. Their clients include a number of large companies in these sectors, who need information on the items of hardware which SPC is currently processing. VSI-thinking has provided SPC International's online presence for many years and the latest projects helps SPC deliver an improved customer service.
SPC manage their inventory using SAP, but couldn't find a suitable solution to make this information cusstomer accessible. Web developers VSI-thinking have a wealth of experience in connecting with third party databases. With this knowledge, VSI-thinking were able to build a system, where SPC clients would be able to log in and get real-time information on order fulfillment. The customer logins for the system are controlled by SPC themselves, allowing new users to be setup with just a few clicks.
The reports generated by the system can either be displayed in a pop-up window or be downloaded in CSV format, so clients can retrieve and process the information, regardless of what platform or browser they are using. The reports generated are also specific to that client, so commercial information is kept confidential. There is also the oppurtunity to create specific reports for a given date range or for a specific product.
