PM Professional chose VSI-thinking to deliver a new and exciting interactive web site. Launched last week, the site includes a raft of VSI-thinking technologies to deliver a search engine optimised eCommerce platform. The marketing focused proposition is supported with our customer database technology and records enquiries from all aspects of the site. When a customer purchases a product, subscribes to the eNewsletter or simply requests a call back, they are recorded and reported in a sales application which highlights customers by enquiry type for follow up marketing. In addition, management reports break down the enquiries and the value of products sold for a user defined date range, helping provide istant feedback on marketing activity.

Using the latest version of the VSI-thinking content management solution, PMProfessional are able to mix content with components that return course availability from their in-house booking system. Previously, page content for courses was retrieved from this booking system with very limited page styles, however content can now be more flexibly controlled to suit the web styles and improve the search engine optimisation.

To close the loop on the customer enquiry and subsequent marketing, PMProfessional also use our mail shot solution. The mail shot editor is similar to our content management systems, allowing eNewsletters and marketing emails to be created and associated with a target group. Groups of emails can be uploaded to the database from third party applications and assigned a group. On receipt of an email, following the links into the web site will record that customer’s subsequent use of the site, the pages they visit and when. This information is displayed in a comprehensive report what shows the most popular page and lists which customers viewed that page with contact details for follow up marketing.
