A group of airport accommodation web sites have been launch by VSI-thinking, using a ‘Mash-Up’ of Google Map and Hotel Booking technologies, this innovative system can be found on www.airport-stay.com. This interesting new site also includes additional customer information on airport services such as parking and travel options. This is an exciting new development for VSI-thinking, who after developing sites for companies such as Thomas Cook and AVIS, have now branched out in order to develop their own travel site.
Additional web sites focus on accommodation in South Wales, the South West, Scotland and cities such as Liverpool and Brighton. The comparison element uses the Google map API, so customers can see location of each hotel and then make an informed decision. This is beneficial to customers, as often city hotels are not in the city centre or close to the airport, however, the VSI-thinking system allows customers to see a number of hotels and easily move the map around.
The innovative system, which is currently pulling information from one hotel supplier, will shortly provide hotel price comparisons much like Go Compare does for car insurance. This is considered essential as price comparison web sites are very important in the current climate and VSI-thinking believe this as a key area of growth in order to provide customers with the best service available.
