The Carpenters Arms pub and restaurant in Cody-y-Paen, Pontypool has really benefited from their new search-engine-optimisedwebsite builtby VSI-thinking, and has found it really easy to use.

We knew that Matt (the landlord) was happy with the design, but he's been toasting their search engine performance - the old site was on page 18 of Google for Pontypool weddings, but the new site now makes the first page!  This is great for their business as weddings are a valuable target market.

A word from Matt himself:

"I am a computer neanderthal (usually I wouldn't admit it) but after less than an hour of coaching I could easily master VSI's CMS system and felt like a computer professional; it was fantastic to feel so competent so quickly.

After a meeting to discuss my design brief, VSI quickly provided me with a fully functioning site with which to practice and enter some content of my own. The site did not have to go live until I was ready and I could work on it from my own computer until I was totally happy, with VSI there every step of the way to provide help and advice when needed.

The real bonus as far as I was concerned was yet to come. Every business wants their web page to be easy to find. With my previous site, anyone wishing to view it would have to enter the whole business name and my exact location before finding my site. Now to my utter delight, even what seems to me to be vague area references are returning me in the results!  Most importantly, I'm now on the front page for weddings in my area (previously having been on page 18), which will hopefully provide a boost in this valuable market segment.

I would recommend VSI to anyone, large or small. They are fast, efficient and friendly, but above all their product really works.

Thanks guys, you've really delivered the goods."

The Carpenters Arms site is one of our template designs but with a customised design (which is included in the template offering) and the optional extra thinkingBLOG, one of our bolt-on thinkingMODULES.  It includes our easy to use Content Management System (CMS) which Matt has found so easy to use, and includes a Word-style editor for users to be easily able to update their own pages - no programming knowledge required.

So if you think your business could do with a boost like Matt's, get in touch!
