IHere is the list of Top 10 FREE Apps available on the iPhone.
From 10th to 6th place....
5. AroundMe(Latest version: 4.0.1)After determining your current location, AroundMe shows you a list of the nearest banks, taxis, pubs, restaurants, hotels cinemas, hospitals, and anything else that you might need to find in a hurry. This is fantastic if you’re in a strange city, or just can’t decide what to do next.
4. Twitter
(Lastest version: 3.0.3)
Previously called Tweetie, the app was the iPhone Twitter client that other iPhone Twitter clients wanted to be. Its combination of polished interface, plentiful options and multi-account support meant everyone loved it (at a cost, it wasn’t free). Now, however, it is free, because Twitter bought it, rebranded it as Twitter, and promptly burnt the price tag.
3. Wikipanion(Latest version:1.6c)
The Wikipedia website works fine on iPhones, but a dedicated app is much better. This freebie gives you quick access to article sections, in-article search, viewing options, bookmarking, and the ability to tweet your findings.
2. Apple iBooks (Latest version: 1.1.2)
An e-book reader and an excellent PDF reader, the app uses a cool bookshelf user interface to arrange your virtual books and PDFs, and Apple makes quite a few older books available for free through its online store. As with many Apple apps, iBooks becomes more useful if you have more Apple devices; you can sync your bookmarks and notations with your iPhones, iPod Touch, and iPad.

1. BBC News(Latest version: 1.6)No massive flashy features, just a solid good app which does the job. With the BBC website being a personal favourite of mine as it is, the update of this app last month has gone down well. You can now watch the news on the iPhone aswell as catch up on video headlines.
